Payment and Refund Policy

Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 19 September 2026

Scope of the Policy

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all courses and related services offered by stagedaily involving specialised training in live production decks, control rooms, multi-camera switching, live broadcasting techniques, real-time video operation, and professional management of television and streaming productions. It covers bookings made through our website for both online and in-person delivery within the United Kingdom. The policy explains how payments are handled, when contracts are formed, and the circumstances under which refunds may be available. It does not extend to third-party services or products purchased separately from our training programmes.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges

All course fees are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. Additional charges may arise for optional extras such as printed materials, certification fees or extended access periods. These extras are clearly displayed before checkout. Prices are subject to change without notice, but confirmed bookings remain at the rate agreed at the time of purchase. No hidden fees are applied after confirmation.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security

We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers and approved digital wallets. Payments are processed securely through established UK-compliant gateways that adhere to PCI DSS standards. Authorisation occurs immediately upon submission, and funds are held until the order is confirmed. stagedaily does not store card details. Any suspected fraudulent activity results in automatic order suspension pending verification.

Order Confirmation and Contract Formation

A binding contract is formed only after we send written confirmation by email following successful payment. Until that point, no obligation exists on either side. The confirmation email details the course dates, access instructions and full terms. Bookings are accepted subject to availability, and we reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under UK consumer law, most distance-selling contracts allow a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of confirmation. This right applies unless the course has begun or digital content has been accessed. For scheduled in-person sessions, cancellation must occur at least 30 days prior to the start date to qualify for a full refund. Shorter notice periods attract administrative deductions.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available for cancellations within the cooling-off period or when stagedaily cancels a course. No refund is provided once course materials have been downloaded or attendance has commenced. Non-refundable items include bespoke course customisations, promotional bundles and any third-party certification costs already incurred. Partial attendance or failure to complete the programme does not entitle the participant to a refund.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us in writing via the form on our Contacts page or by email to [email protected]. Include your full name, order reference, course details and reason for cancellation. Requests must be submitted within the applicable time limit. We acknowledge receipt within five working days and may request further information to process the claim.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification

Each request is reviewed against the policy criteria. We aim to notify the outcome within ten working days. Approved refunds are confirmed by email; rejected requests receive a clear explanation. If additional evidence is required, the review period may extend accordingly. All decisions are final once communicated.

Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds

Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing typically takes five to ten working days after approval, although bank transfers may require up to fourteen days to appear in the recipient account. No cash refunds are issued. International transfers may incur additional bank charges borne by the customer.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers

Digital course content is considered supplied once access credentials are issued, removing the cooling-off right. Subscription renewals follow the same cancellation rules as initial bookings. Promotional offers carry the same refund conditions unless explicitly stated otherwise at purchase. No refund is available for time-limited access that has expired.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud

Failed payments result in automatic cancellation of the booking. Duplicate charges are investigated promptly and refunded where verified. Chargebacks are treated as cancellations and may lead to restricted future access. Suspected fraud triggers immediate account review and possible reporting to UK authorities.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom

This policy operates alongside rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and UK GDPR. Nothing in these terms removes statutory entitlements to remedies for faulty services or misleading information. Disputes may be referred to the courts of England and Wales or alternative dispute resolution schemes where applicable.
