stagedaily was founded by working broadcast directors who saw a gap between university media courses and the fast-paced reality of a live control room.
From the gallery floor to the classroom
stagedaily began inside a working television gallery in Manchester, where our founder was training new hires between live shows. Demand grew quickly, and we built a dedicated studio and control room so every student could train on the same equipment used across UK broadcast and streaming productions.
Today we run intensive courses and part-time evening tracks covering multi-camera switching, live directing, camera operation and production management, taught entirely by people who still work in the industry.
